Merry Christmas!

  • by

Piano teachers often receive Christmas gifts from their students.

I’ve received a lot of mugs and candles and Christmas tree ornaments over the years.  I love these kinds of gifts because when I use them I think of the students who gave them to me.  I have some ornaments from students who took lessons from me 20 years ago and I still recall them fondly as I put those ornaments on the tree! (I have a mighty big tree!) I’m so thankful for those thoughtful and kind gifts.

I’d like to give you a Christmas gift!

My gift to you is a Silent Night piano sheet music pdf.  The pdf has 2 levels: Easy Beginner Piano, for absolute beginners and Easy Chord Lead Sheet for those of you who have more experience.  There are videos to go along with both of these levels.

My Piano Students are the best!

I have a small group of in-person students (mostly children) who come visit me each week and we share the joy of making music. Many of these students are with me for over a decade!

I also have a growing number of online students who learn with my direct guidance via online classes.  These students range from raw beginners to advancing players.  They range from young adults to retirees.

…and we’re about to start a mini-class for Christmas Music called Chording with Christmas, class starts on Monday, November 25th. (it’s not too late to join!)

Does learning in an online class really work?

You bet it does!  It’s almost as good as working with me in-person.  And if you’re serious about it, you can actually get MORE out of online classes than you can out of a once a week 30-minute private piano lesson.   This is what one student recently said about her experience in our Online Class:

“I really enjoy watching everyone’s videos and reading all the comments and feedback from everyone’s uploads. It’s so fun to see everyone’s progress. The social aspect has been very beneficial.” ~Pax

The videos Pax mentions are the ones that students post to our facebook private facebook groups.  These practice videos allow me to give personalized coaching and feedback between the live classes. They give me valuable insight for tailoring the class to help all students. Plus, they also give each student the advantage of learning from the experience of others when they watch the videos they post.

It’s really quite magical.  The support and relationships that develop in these classes are priceless!

When are the online piano classes?

Since I may have peaked your interest: Classes are ongoing, with a new term beginning in January – perfect for people who get pianos or keyboards for Christmas to get started.  Or for anyone who wants to renew their efforts to learn to play piano!

To be notified about January 2020 class registration for Beginner, Chord Style Beginners, or Grade 1 Piano Classes, simply add your name to my email list.
Email me when registration begins!

But, you don’t have to wait until January!

You can join me for four weeks and learn Christmas Carols!  (For this class, you should be able to read treble clef notes.)  Here’s the link for more info:  Chording with Christmas Online Piano Class.
