Let’s Play a Song!
PROJECT: Now that you know some more notes, you can try to play this simple song all on your own!
“A,B,C” only uses Bass Clef A, B and middle C.
1. Print the pdf: “A,B,C” – click here for the pdf
2. Visual Scan: Look over the entire sheet naming the letter for each note you see. Check for quarter notes, half notes and whole notes. (Learned in lessons 6 and 7)
3. At the Piano: Find the keys you will be using on the piano keyboard.
- On your sheet write a 1 in the tiny box above the first note, we will place Right Hand thumb on that note.
- And on line 3 write a 2 in the tiny box below Left Hand A. We will use Left Hand finger 2 to play this note.
4. Play the song slowly.
- name each note as you play
- count the beats for each note
- sing the words!
Yay! You did it!
